They're running a smaller crew here, but the news said that they were still running "normally." We did have some folks flying in at work next week that cancelled the trip because things in DC were really bad.

This could work, sell the dope in one door, arrest them and seize the dope at the next. Everybody wins.

Interesting. I read yesterday/today is the first time TSA has no paycheck. Charlotte is a large hub for American. Was not on my radar until someone else asked me.

I wonder what guidance, if any TSA has received...?

I've got some friends in IRS and our collective group is offering to help them with their bills until pay starts flowing again.

This whole thing is stupid because of __________.

They are considered essential and are working without pay like a lot of us (Active Duty CG included). There’s been a lot of them calling out sick and I honestly wouldn’t blame them if they were out for job interviews instead of “sick”.

I have TSA precheck and when I flew out of SFO it strangely wasn’t there on my ticket and the Alaska Air rep tried to add it to my tickets but it wouldn’t take.

    I’m over it

The whole government shutdown is such a poor way to be handling things. That’s really all I can say without going off on a fueled rant. I pretty much get pissedoff everytime I put on the news. *sigh*

I posit that most politicians are motivated by power that fuels their already overinflated egos. Both sides are to blame here. We should switch to an Autonomous Collective.

From 'outside the wall looking in', the obvious solution, compromise is to add, improve, repair 'fencing' where it will do the most good, based on factual border services needs, and provide the services, funding to decrease the backlog in process. Politically tie the solution to a DACA solution. Sadly, facts seem to be ignored, and both sides have painted themselves into a corner, when there really should not be 'sides' or corners, and 800,000 employees are paying the direct impact for it. Adding labels such as crisis or national emergency does not help.

Using crash avoidance apparently. It was backing itself up from a door. Hit the wall and down it went. Paid my $49 earlier and shipped it off. Should have a new one in a week or so.

I agree, video would have been great but I didn’t turn it on for a indoor flight. Lol dammit.
