we stay out of it as much as possible. He was arrested back in Nov. for false imprisonment and 3rd dagree burglary and spend 2 weeks in jail till he was able to post bail. It sucks because he was in the Job Corps program that was going to get him a good job and help him get him on his feet after the program ended. Then he just pissed it away with this arrest (which happened in the Job Corps Dorms). He went to live with some "friends" then bailed on that when he found out they were selling meth for Christmas presents. He must have begged his Grandmother on his dads side for a place to stay. Again, someone bailed him out of his bad decisions. he's still facing up to 6 years in jail and a felony for his arrest back in Nov. He thinks he's going to a local community college in the fall. Not sure how he's going to swing that, but not my problem. I think he just needs to get his ass a job and learn what it means to work your ass off for something. We will see in 3 months because that's his cycle time. Every 3 months something happens and he makes another shit decision. Just a train wreck that we watch from as far away as possible. He only talks to my wife when he needs something. We will only give him advise at this point, nothing of monetary value.

Yep, and when he asks we will provide it. He burned us multiple times on the monetary side of things so he SOL for that kind of help.

Got a email a bit ago that DJI had received the drone. Less than an hour later got another one that a new one had been shipped to me. :woot:

Hopefully this one logs more air time. :anonymous:

Avalanche season here in BC, Alberta - similar terrain to Colorado, Montana, Idaho, …

They retrieved the son today from within the lake. A skier was killed earlier in December I think it was. Changes in climate, means there are more warm, cold cycles which plays havoc with stability.
Got to get out sledding yesterday, to finish a basic Snowmobile Federation course to be properly certified for SAR. I'm out of practice, being away in the US so much in the last 3 years, but the skills came back relatively quickly. Everyone gets a good laugh when you get stuck, and I avoided sticking it in tree wells. Driving a short track, fan cooled snowmobile was fun on the trails; its like driving a 4 cylinder sports car, easy to throw around, and get a bit of oversteer happening with weight shift, point the nose anywhere you want to go. Found its power was bit limited though climbing hills in fresh snow, but not impossible. Good base of snow built up, now need some more powder snow.

Like we have said before, I think your doing the right thing in this. People need to learn the hard way sometimes. They can either be helped and they learn the error of their ways the first time or two. If it doesnt sink in by then, well, you're on your own.
Glad to hear you're staying the course.

Yep, we have good reason to stay the course. Noah isn't going to corrupt or negatively impact Corbin's child hood. He can fuck up his own life all he wants, but he doesn't get to take the rest of our family down with him.
