I'm a similar size. 6'4 262lbs currently. Last year when I started I was 268. I got down to 252 and hit a wall and got lazy for about 3 months. Im back at it and we will see if I can bust through that wall

Well, fwiw my 5yo biked 10 miles with me today on dirt, and swam for a half hour. Keeping up with them keeps me in shape. ;)

Playing basketball 3 times a week and riding my fat bike in the snow when I can. Hopefully that will be enough exercise. I'm not doing keto, just watching calories and intermittent fasting (fast for 16 hours eat during 8 hour window)

Sounds like a good plan. I’ve heard good things about IF.

I’ve been lifting and using my rower since just before the new year. I don’t expect that will do much for weight loss, but it’s already helping me not feel sluggish and creaky. I’m reading up on keto, and pretty I’m pretty optimistic that it will do some good. We’ll see how it goes.

That’s pretty cool. I had no idea C2 made anything like that. Looks like they make exercise bikes too.

I have their rower and I absolutely love it. It’s really nice to be able to do conditioning that works your upper and lower body simultaneously. For now, I’m just doing long, steady cardio with it, but it’s a super effective way to do intervals. A few years ago, when I first tried doing HIIT with it I ended up sprawled out on the floor and almost puked.

Nice! Got my Concept rower about 4 years ago. Love it- best on the market.

The skierg is great- will open your pleural cavity like nothing else. I use the rower for more controlled longer intervals. (i only do intervals or both...). Once I became proficient On the skierg, i do higher rep/intense intervals that are much shorter in duration.

These machines- especially the skierg are amazing. Both can help folks of all shapes and sizes. Both are very scalable- my kids use them! Well worth the investment.

we stay out of it as much as possible. He was arrested back in Nov. for false imprisonment and 3rd dagree burglary and spend 2 weeks in jail till he was able to post bail. It sucks because he was in the Job Corps program that was going to get him a good job and help him get him on his feet after the program ended. Then he just pissed it away with this arrest (which happened in the Job Corps Dorms). He went to live with some "friends" then bailed on that when he found out they were selling meth for Christmas presents. He must have begged his Grandmother on his dads side for a place to stay. Again, someone bailed him out of his bad decisions. he's still facing up to 6 years in jail and a felony for his arrest back in Nov. He thinks he's going to a local community college in the fall. Not sure how he's going to swing that, but not my problem. I think he just needs to get his ass a job and learn what it means to work your ass off for something. We will see in 3 months because that's his cycle time. Every 3 months something happens and he makes another shit decision. Just a train wreck that we watch from as far away as possible. He only talks to my wife when he needs something. We will only give him advise at this point, nothing of monetary value.

Yep, and when he asks we will provide it. He burned us multiple times on the monetary side of things so he SOL for that kind of help.
