I love where this thread is at right now!

Tool is probably my favorite band ever. The musicianship from all four of those guys just floors me, and Adam’s vision in their videos always blows my mind. So fucking incredible.

These two are some of my absolute favorites:

I desperately need to see them live again. Last time I did was way back in like ‘96 in Vegas and they just destroyed their set. It was amazing.

I couldn’t believe that 10,000 Days came out in 2006. It’s been FOREVER, but it’s always been worth the wait.

So I've had The Division 2 downloaded for 2 days now and haven't logged into it. I'm trying to bring myself to log in but I just can't break away from Warframe. The further I get into the game the more of a hold it has on me. I just got access to three more Prime frames and another Prime weapon. What I'm afraid of is once Anthem comes out, I'll play it but I'll be wishing I was playing Warframe (since Anthem did kind of rip Warframe off). The game is just that good once you learn all the nuances of the game. The really cool thing about the game is the community that surrounds it. If you need help with something just type it in chat and you will get so many responses of people willing to help you get through a tough portion of the game rather than trying to go it by yourself. Hell... I even had one guy give me some pretty cool shit because he was much higher level than I was and he didn't need it. I haven't ever played a game where if you ask for help, ask a question because you don't know something, etc... that the people that play the game are more than willing to help you out and not be a dick. So, I'll play Anthem (mostly because I already bought it) but when I'm playing it I'll be wishing I was in Warframe.

I've been like that with Division 1. I play with such a great group of guys that I just couldn't break away. Yes, the game got worse but when your playing with some great people it just keeps you there.

Thing is... I've got my own clan that I started but these are random people that I'm playing with in Warframe. Not even clanmates.

I tried Division 1 and it was fun for the first month or so but I just couldn't get out of my mind that this is what we were supposed to get.

It was NOTHING like this when the original game launched and I just couldn't get over the fact that they promised us one thing and delivered something that wasn't even close to what we were supposed to get. I'm sure there will be improvements in Division 2 and yes you are correct... the friends you play with make or break a game. That said... I stuck with Destiny for 4+ years and I finally gave up my clan (that I started) because I just couldn't take it anymore. You mark my words... Destiny will not be around now that they have to do everything on their own without any backing with any sort of revenue stream coming in.

This is why I like Warframe so much. The gameplay is extremely hectic and this is a run where the enemies are much higher level than I am. I really shouldn't be running this mission but I want to clear out as much of the solar system as possible. The sidearm I'm using streams radiation to what you are shooting and spreads to those around them so it applies a damage over time. This is just the gameplay... Doesn't even delve into the mod systems or different Warframes, weapons, or their prime variants.

I think I've posted this before but if you saw the movie Rock Star this is the guy that did Mark Wahlberg's voice over. Dude can sing like a motherfucker. Hell... they both can. There are only a handful of people that can hit the notes that these guys hit back in the 80's. Sure they were all "hair bands" but they were pretty amazing musicians also. I mean look at Sebastian Bach (even though he turned out crazy).

You know I almost wonder if it was the earlier version of Snowdrop (that was developed for The Division) that just was too much at the time to make work like they envisioned. If you look at Division 2 with the updated Snowdrop engine it looks and feels more like what they wanted to do with the original. It really is a beautiful vision playing the game and what was originally in the Division trailers. Perhaps after they did the demo part in it and realized what a massive undertaking that would be involved in making the entire game like that. The menu isn't on the wrist like that and the map doesn't superimpose over where you're standing but I'm starting to see where they wanted it to be come out in this version. I actually ran into one of the developers in Division not too long ago. Name had a different tag to it. I looked at the profile and it was a Ubisoft developer. Kinda neat to see them actually playing the game. I kinda go into these games with a open mind that not everything can be included from what you see in the trailers. Just like on that trailer the vault where the weapons were at the police station wasn't available to go in. Kinda what makes me think that when they did the demo they found out afterward there was going to be much more involved than they thought and with the delays that had already happened they had to go a different direction or lose their ass at the time.

I understand the pressures that the ones supplying the money basically control "when" the game comes out. And I know concessions had to be made. My issue is (and it's not limited to The Division) is... Don't promise something you can't deliver on time. Naughty Dog is a perfect example of how games are developed and released. They show what the game will be in the E3 trailers and when the game releases it is exactly that game. I would rather wait another year for full development to be finished rather than release a version of the game that vaguely resembles the original trailer. That is what got me hyped for The Division and when the game was released it was a shell of what was actually promised. Same thing with Destiny and other games. At least with The Last of Us we got what was promised. An exceptional game, great story, and great graphics considering it came out on PS3 first and then was remastered for PS4 which made it even better.

My motto is... If you can't deliver exactly what you show in your demo at E3 don't show that demo unless you can back up that demo with the exact experience that was shown in that demo.

*EDIT* From the time that demo was shown at E3 Ubisoft had 3 years to work on the game which IMO was more than enough time to implement all the items that were shown in the demo. The only thing we got was the ability to shut car doors, shoot through car windows, and kill dogs (of which I killed many  )
