Try tarpon fishing in the mangroves on a calm night. Fuckers will literally make you deaf and/or carry my skinny ass away.

So do we in our neighborhood. Then again, I am surrounded by water, Manatee Pocket on one side, intracoastal on one side and the inlet and St. Lucie river on one side with Mangroves all around.

Worse place I've ever been for bugs has been Port St. Joe, Florida. At sunset you better get your ass away from the water or they will eat you alive. Tried ever bug spray known including the shit they make locally and nothing seems to work.

Thanks for the heads up. Been following the University of Tennessee and their progress. This will be huge for patients and insurance companies. I’ll do dialysis three days a week until I perish, or I get a transplant. No other options regrettably. But with an artificial kidney we bypass tissue type, blood type, and even ethnicity rejection.

The average transplant costs around 40k while my monthly dialysis expense is 74k. These artificial kidneys will have insurance companies lining up to get their patients on the table. I’m hoping to be one of them.

I wish you all the luck in the world with this. A couple of years ago I had kidney cancer and the removed one of mine. I'm ok now. I can't imagine what you must be going through. I'll be praying for you and a good option to help you.

Insult to injury is when nephrologist stack a clinic with their own patients and then stroll through the clinic floor twice a week asking each of us if we’re feeling okay and then dinging our insurance for an office visit every time. My current doctor is doing this and as soon as I get accepted with a different doctor I’m dumping him.

My son started the first steps of his career this week. He is doing an internship with Deloitte in Downtown LA. He'll have a job offer when he graduates next year. Its been fun watching him run the gauntlet just to get the internship offer. Lots of hard work already. It's funny though, he called me to tell me how tired he was after commuting into Downtown (he lives in Westchester) and working several 10 hour days. He's getting used to the grind but he's having a blast. The hard work will pay off.

This will tell you what it takes to get recruited at Deloite

This is my older son. Accounting/CPA and Entrepreneurship degree from LMU.

The engineer is my younger son. Just finished his freshman year at UC Santa Barbara. Let's just say he had a good year. Grades not so much but he's passing. He's not your typical engineering student. Hopefully he got some of this out of is system for next year. Sorry for the pic overload but it helps me remember my youth and not strangle him too hard. The rules are pass your classes, don't get arrested, and don't get anyone pregnant, and no tattoos(that I can see). He did that for the most part that I know of.

And for those of you with daughters, this is why my son says never let your daughter go to UCSB.

Very proud of my boys. Thanks for indulging my sharing/bragging. I love to see all the kid and family posts even though we all have struggles and parenting is hard. It enforces that the group of guys here are doing the right things.

Man... I'm really conflicted about the sale of his guitars. He'll never play these instruments again and that saddens me. It saddens me that he will most likely never tour again and I'll never get the chance to see him live in person. I consider myself lucky to grow up in the time of David Gilmour. He's the reason that I picked up the guitar at 14 and (until recently) never put it down. But, I agree with his sentiment and the reason he is selling them.

$4 million dollars is more than I expected for the Black Strat. but I sure wish I could have bid on it. But almost $22 million dollars should say something about how cherished these instruments are to others. I just hope they are played with a passion that Gilmour put into them. But I suspect that most (if not all) will be hung on a wall just as a collection piece. That saddens me the most I think.
