My wife and kids are Japanese, so I'm going to be offended on their behalf. :p

And while were at it, lets rename (enter any non-PC named sports team)... :angrygirl:

I’d pay loot to see a flight of B-52s recreate the “Arclight” mission there. You know Uncle Sugar still has some.

Had that in Desert Storm. A Wild Weasel pilot brought the story back to us in the CAOC.

Stormin' Norman had the BUFFs come in at 1000 feet carrying 500 pounders with screamers (the whistles that scare the shit out you before the boom). The attack wave was led by EF-111 Sparc 'Varcs (jamming the air defense radars) and F-4G Wild Weasels (blowing those radars up), then "all the goddamn B-52s in the fucking world." Their orders were to bomb the Republican Guard to only 50% strength and then break off the attack.

About 6 hours prior to the mission, the weasels dropped leaflets. They read (in Arabic) "The B-52s are coming at this time and from this direction. Make your peace with Allah."

The first mission rolls. The SAMs and anti-air cannons are blinded and have to be sighted manually (and miss because it's hard to lead an aircraft when you're used to using radar). The BUFFs bomb the shit out of them. RF-4Cs from Bergstrom AFB (my home!!) take pics of the aftermath.

    It's catastrophic.

THE NEXT DAY it starts all over again. Weasels drop leaflets. 6 hours later Allah comes calling...only to find empty tanks and infantry vehicles and 10,000 Iraqi "seasoned veterans" running for their lives.

War pretty much over. BUFFs FTMFW!!!

Don't forget the EF-111s. The most effective way to convert JP-8 to noise ever invented.

I dont know man, have you ever stood next to an A6 Intruder at full throttle?

Fuckers will make your teeth rattle out of your head while your clenching your jaw. Not saying F111's arent loud, just that A6's are no slouch in the noise dept either.

Anyhow, back on topic, fucking American firepower is god damn awe inspiring when done right. There are a few uf us in here that have had the luck of seeing it implemented correctly.... @G.T. @CaptAmerica @rmepilot @wilcam47 and myself to name a few (oh and the new guy, pretty sure he's seen some shit).

That was a loud MF'er as well. When I was in Cuba back in the early 90's one landed while I was walking on the flight line. Everyone was all what is that? I said and F4, then 2 minutes later a fucking Mig came in behind it and landed. Fucking pilot was going to go to Key West to land at the NAS there but saw the F4 land on the Leeward side and knew the F4 runout was as long as his, so he just landed there and defected.

They sent a pilot over about a week later to pick up the Mig. Fucker put on an air show when he left. Never forget that. Got some cool pics somewhere of that Mig.
