@CaptAmerica where did you buy your Aeron chair? Was brand new or used?

Hey I just had a thought to ease your tooth pain. I just knock over my mountain bike and the peddle caught my shin. If you get a little pain somewhere else maybe the tooth won’t hurt?

:boink: Just trying to get you to laugh a little.

New, from Herman Miller. I wanted to buy from a reseller but the wife wasn't having it. So, while we paid almost double what a discount reseller charges we also got the full lifetime warranty. Not that I expect to need it. We have first gen Aerons here at work and they're still working good. A little dirty, and some torn armrests, but the mechanicals are flawless.

They were offering a 20% discount when we ordered, and they shipped directly to the house already assembled. Can't beat that.

I've seen some size B chairs for around $600 - $700 at the discount resellers. I think they're barely used office re-purchases, and they don't have the full warranty on them, but that's cheap for an Aeron.

Looking closely, it looks like a Gen 1 with the Gen 2 lumbar. At that price, GO FOR IT!!
I have arthritis in my back after years of building and tearing down cargo pallets and doing combat comm shit. Your ass and back will thank you for it.

I am deathly afraid of being addicted to anything. Partly because when growing up I witnessed what being an alcoholic does to a person and partly from my wife telling me about some of her patients (she's a a Nurse Practitioner and can prescribe the likes of Oxy and Vicodin) over the years begging her for more, which, depending on the circumstances, she refuses to do. Unfortunately there are other health professionals that will prescribe meds just to get the person off their back, which does nothing to help with the problem.

HUGE props to you for recognizing it will be a problem for you and having a plan in place to help avoid it.

I took an Odyssey Triple Trap to the shin on a dirt track when I took a jump wrong. That was not enjoyable and I don't recommend it.

I'm surprised Amazon is still selling them but god forbid we can't have metal slides that little Timmy might get hurt on.

Anyone remember the old "bear traps"? Suntour XC-II was the main one, then Hutch made even a toothier one. I had the Suntours on my race bike and wore leathers when I raced, got to the point after eating one of them one time in jeans I would swap the Suntours on for races only.

Never rode with any but they do look familiar.
