OP - keep a close eye on the Ford as it nears the 120,000-150,000 mile mark. That's when things tend to go out on Ford's. In my case a bunch of things went out at once...including head gaskets at 147,000.

Also change/flush radiator fluid more than is what is recommended. At least with ethylene glycol, it breaks down especially if car is kept outside. It will eat through any seal and every other thing it comes into contact with. My mechanic recommends to disregard claims of coolant change/flush every 100,000 miles. Do it every 1-2 years.

Hopefully Ford redesigned their cooling system for the newer generation cars. My experience is with the 2001 Ford Ranger. However on newer generation vehicles Ford claims they can go 100,000 miles between coolant changes...don't believe that.

I don't remember how many sets of tires, or brakes, but I recommend that you don't need to bother with the rear brakes until after 350K. The front original brakes on a 2007 might make it to 200K, but let me emphasize:

Procrastinate on changing front brakes because once you do change them they will not last anywhere near as long as the original factory new pads. I don't think that I got 100K from any replacement set of pads including OEM Toyota pads unless I was sold counterfeit parts, none of them lasted like the original pads.
