Browsing the internet recently I stumbled across this product, I have no affiliation with this company. I've seen pictures of them on FJ's and 4runners (and jeep) but not a Tacoma. Anybody have one? It's more minimalist than some of the hitch skids I've seen on here and has the shackle point. Jeep affiliation aside, I'm curious what TW members think of this style hitch slider / shackle point. Thoughts anyone?

    $189??? :bananadead:

Just drag on your hitch. And if you need a recovery point put the strap right into the receiver with a hitch pin through the end.

I think people have bent hitch pins that way and gotten them stuck in their receiver. But I'm with you on the price. There are better, less expensive solutions.

I’m not understanding the purpose. The hitch can take a beating and I carry a hitch with a shackle. A better option is a bumper with a hidden hitch receiver me thinks.

Not only is it expensive, but also made out of aluminum. Something that is designed to take a beating but made from one of the softest metals. Why not forge out of steel.
