    The LN40 indicates it is a 40" viewable screen. Technically it is 41.7" OAW.

    Samsung doesnt have a 42" plasma with that model number

    it appears teh OP has a 40" LCD TV

    it is a 40 in. lcd tv i got them mixed up my bad lol a friend gave it to me beacause he upgraded to a 52 in and i thought it was a plasma but i just checked the number
