AndeyHall "already have a 1911...all other .45's will be a disappointment."

Ignorance is bliss, must be you never shot a Glock or any other. :D

From your signature: "Never argue with an idiot; they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."...So I'll refrain from commenting on Glock being the pinnacle of the handgun shooting experience.

Here we go lol I shouldn't entertain this idiocy but I can't resist. Thinkingman from your name I world have thought... nevermind. As my post states Glock or ANY OTHER, those key words must be too vague or misleading. Since I was out of line let me break it down barney style ANY OTHER: ruger, Smith and Wesson, Taurus, Walther (S&W), Beretta, Browning, Colt, Kimber, F.N., Sig Arms, Kahr Arms, Kel-tec, Springfield... Sorry for the confusion :D

    OK...I'll THINK for a minute....what .45acp does Kimber and Colt produce that aren't 1911's?
I will agree with AndyHall, the 45acp experience pretty much peaks with the 1911 platform, unless you throw a SW625 JM in the mix.
I went against your line in the signature...against my better judgement.
We'll see how this pans out....

I will sure say i love my Glock 19C and 17:) Debating a 21 or a new 1911....still like how the M&P feels tho...Im just still having a hard time getting over what Smith did in the 90s....maybe thats just me

    The M&P 45 is the only comparison to me to a 1911. And I am a 1911 guy :)

If you go with the Glock Gen 3 hold both the SF and the standard to see which feels best to you. If you get the Gen 4 they have replaceable backstraps and from what I have heard the Gen 4 as it comes is like the Gen 3 SF before putting the backstraps on it. I have the Gen 4 and love it, I have taken a few casings to the face but that may also be do to bad shooting technique, although casings to the face is common from what I've heard- I'm just hoping it's bad shooting technique

meh, all 1911 "fanboys" are the same, the 1911 is the best gun in the world and that's that bla bla bla, i have a Kimber TLE-2 it was my first pistol and it's a good gun but if i had to walk into war tomorrow and i had to take a 45, it'd be my G21SF, it goes bang no matter what, less moving parts=less stuff to fail and i'll be haulin 5 more rounds per mag

If you want firepower get the FNP-45 (14+1 or 15+1 with extended mag and dont get the Tacticool unless you are going suppressed). I had one but I dont like DASA guns so i traded for the M&P 45, with a little work the M&Ps have the best trigger next to a tuned XD or 1911 (both of those are SA)

EDIT: Dont get the FNP unless you have man hands. It has a huge grip to fit all those rounds.
