I'm not sure how I feel about the ladder. Almost makes it look like an Xterra

Just look at the build thread
I like the side ladder way better than the rear ladder setups offered by others. Although SSS offers a rear ladder option as well.

How bad do those 34x10.5R17s rub at full lock and articulation? I am putting a 2" lift all around on my 2016 Trail and want to either go with these or 285/70R17s.

What made you go with these vice 285/70R17s?

Maybe I'll post it in the "asshole parking" thread haha

There's a debatable small benefit in deep snow and mud in going with tall and skinny vs. wide and fat, so the tread can dig into the harder ground. Also, since the tire is D rated vs. E rated with a smaller contact patch (the 285 K02 is E-rated), I probably get a small MPG gain. All in all, I've been pretty happy with the purchase, but 285s look perfect on these things (whereas the 34x10.5 is about the same width as a stock tire).

With a 2" lift you'll definitely rub. With my 2.5" lift I get rubbing on the front bumper where I had to trim about 1" from the lower section.

Thanks for the wisdom. I will either stick with my 265s or upgrade to 285s.

What do the 34x10.5x17 measure on the truck?

Come out to 33.5" pretty much, only a hair wider than the stock 265.

    Thanks!

Funny you ask. I did come down to pick it up since my wife wanted to visit a friend in LA over the weekend. We ended up camping near Joshua Tree again at your guys' former campsite. Sun woke us up pretty damn early since it was beaming down on us from there haha

Is the crossbeam in your grill a part of the bumper?

Okay, you caught me lol. I have a few more things coming in (CBI rear is the next big thing) but after that I'll be done for a really long time. Next is just enjoying the rig and taking her out on more trips.

The crossbeam is a separate metal filler piece, as is the trim under the headlights. I really didn't want to cut into the factory bumper because it'd leave the gill things hanging out all weird. It's not perfect, but I'll probably adjust everything when I space the bumper down a bit. They aren't connected at all. I'd find a way to leave my stock TRD Pro garnish in there, but I kinda like the cutouts because I can stick some lights back there.

    Thanks dude
