We have a place in my town, a Tires Plus or something and they have sales on the 3 year and lifetime alignments sometimes. Told me if I bought the 3 year they would re-align it after the part installation. Was like $99.99 for 3 years

Dumb question.. but on the 5100's, how long does it take and how easy is it to change the shock positions/ ride height?

Others may disagree, but I say to get hieght from coils and not preloading the shocks.

I would say it's pretty easy as long as you haven't installed it yet haha

My '14 DCSB below.....5100's on all 4......front set 3rd ring lifted front almost 2"

    265-75x16's & Coop's AT3's.......everything else stock

If you're going to buy new shocks..5100's aren't that much more

along with 2 hours shop labor to change (that's what I paid) did the rears myself

Headstrong has 'em for about $340 shipped/all 4 last I looked

5100's are beefier shocks.........prettier too than the 4600's........:bananadance:

Just replaced my rear shocks with 5100s. You’ll need a 5mm Allen wrench to install them (top keep the top stem from spinning while tightening the nut).

Armed in Utah, nice looking ride, on your 5100's the 3rd notch got you close to 2" in the front, did that basically level your truck or did you something in the rear( block, add a leaf, etc).. I just have the 4600's on mine with the firestone ride right airbags in the rear. I'm wanting to upgrade to the 5100's and hopefully get about 2''s but was unsure if the back needed maybe a 1'' block?

yep..front came up just shy of 2" on 3rd ring

measured B4 & after in garage same spot.....same with our '05 TURD.....

the rear is stock........in that pic it looks purty level.......but in garage

it actually could use a 1" block........I'd imagine the rear 5100's would still fit OK ??

more pics......don't think its worth messing with.....

I'll just buy more beer & guns.........

@Armed in Utah.. truck looks great i wouldn't mess with it either. Sure is some pretty country in your pics. I'm sure i'll go with the 5100's from headstrong, but just found a rear bumper i'm thinking i just might have to have.

not true, they can handle the weight better and not sag as much vs 4600s

Shocks don’t support weight or sag. :bananadead:

Bilstein says they’re identical except 5100s are designed for lifted applications. You should let them know they’re wrong also.
