I think I remember reading somewhere on this forum that the 2.7's have the same drive train as the V-6's as far as diffs, etc. Is that true? I can't see where it would be true when it comes to transfer cases and transmissions or even drive shafts and U-Joints. How much of the drive train is the same between the 6's and 4's?

    A thing or two...
The front diff housing and axles and rear axle are the same for the 1GR and 2TR. The gearing in the diffs is different depending on if you have the 1GR or 2TR and if it's a manual or auto. The 1GR and 2TR have different transmissions. The transfer cases differ as well, but I think the difference is just the number of splines on the input from the transmission.

Thanks, I was wondering if there was any truth to that.
