I bought a 4cyl double cab and what a mistake I made. Luckily the market was hot and Carmax offered 32k. Yes 3 k more than I paid out the door. Went and bought a v6 and night and day difference

Yeah tried driving it around in ETC today. Glad I don't own this thing. I feel like I would be constantly stressed out that I cant keep up with San Diego traffic or merge without pedal to the metal but getting nowhere.

Yeah my wife would laugh at the fact that I couldn’t drive 80 mph without the engine reving like crazy. I’m surprised they sell the double cab in a 4cyl. I’m sure it’s reliable but not comfortable at all. My v6 feels like a normal truck and easy to cruise the highway.

Would probably be pretty good as a regular cab or maybe a farm truck.

lol mine drives fine in traffic, 75 on the interstate (just made a 660 mile round trip). Maybe the 4 dr is slower due to weight but pretty sure I could drive that just fine too. I think your problem is in the drivers seat.:D

Yeah I don't get it, I pass people on the hwy while towing my 3k lb camper.

I guess it's an easy cloud to yell at for some.

In high elevation (above 5kft) sure there is much to complain about, but down close to sea level my truck will easily do everything I need.

You know what they say about carpenters that blame their tools ...

yeah what I find funny is OP doesn’t even own the truck it’s a loaner, yet he comes here trashing it in front of those who do own it, like it, and know how to drive it. Some people just like to trash others peoples things I guess even though they’re talking out their azz lol.

I'd like to see a plug in Hybrid version. The Rav4 Prime is making about 305 combined HP. Problem is combined torque numbers are very hard to find. That would be a really cool 4 cyl!

But really, yeah it's a nice little pickup but it's severally underpowered.

Noone should be getting their feelings hurt if they are driving a 4cyl. They know what they have and why they chose it.
I just wouldn't choose one. No right or wrong here. Enjoy your taco.

it’s your opinion. Those who own a 2.7L have informed opinions based on years of observation. good day. ;)

Yup and my opinion is that the 4cyl can barely get our of its own way. Getting on the freeway here in San diego is almost suicide as the engine roars yet doesn't produce any speed to merge.
