Took the kids to a cabin in big bear hiking wheeling and digging crystals....used the rear cargo area which worked out perfect....did some night wheeling made most of gold mountain in 2wd...used the suspension and speed to keep momentum...lol

Was a good spring break kids had a 5o5al blast....

So took the old transmission mount out and cut what was left of the rubber mounts off....ground em down threw some 1.5 .120 tube with leaf spring poly bushings in....
Called dealer and even at shop price the new Mount was too expensive....so after chatting with Brian at 4WU and eric at Yotamasters I made these....

Knew what I needed to do just called them to see of they knew of any I'll effects long term to doing this...eric has been running g a pro,y Mount tranny and chain end front stock motomounts for 11 years now no issues....good enough for me....

Yeah the rattle at idle is a bit more than I wanted but its not bad.....I will say that when hammering around square edge hits it doesn't ,make a clunk at all....its a
Solid and translates the solid feel to speed and handling...

I may do straps later but not likely ID prefer t keep it all poly and run It hard.

Also you can run a softer durometer urethane or poly I have a buddy who makes his own and has different densities...this will eliminate a lot of the frame chatter....

Cut 7/8" off the tranny mount on TG skid side ,lowering the transmission away from the tunnel....did a 3" hole below tcase for a quick access to the drain so no need to remove skid.
started rear battery tray (Artec) and made the tubes and started welding...it'll be in place tomorrow.
Will be a nice finished off look....

So started with a clean area and made a home for the battery....was good to get it out of the front and open it up.....
Moved the fuse box sideways and against the support to open up....

OK....took it out to a small spot to finally gauge the suspension and handling....its time to start thinking about a cage....its fast enough now that its a bit too easy to keep speed going Into stuff and feel comfortable....it floats the faster it goes...

So added some better terminals a battery cut off switch and a starter cutoff as well...I wired the alarm of another constant power well as fuse box for memory so no loss there and someone can't cut power to mess with it...

I will put a cap for the battery switch that will keep it from being touched while daily driving then wheeling I will open access to t for quick shutoff should I roll or have a issue....

Also took it out on a little rougher run and its about time for a cage...its definently smooth the faster it goes and floats over stuff....

Wired the lights up today then took it out to aim them...
1 main reason I wanted to mount the light back a bit was to eliminate light scatter in dust and hood right on front of the windshield. As yo can see the hood is dark....which s a good thing...no matter what color your rig is its white and or dusty when its lit up by dust and light scatter right in front of you....
By setting it back it gives you a area of shadow to eliminate the scatter right in front of the windshield....
Iva had em up front and laid back on my old race track and prerunmers...from experience I'll set them back or make a shadow blind to make a dark spot right front of me.
