To me a PRO should have an upgraded engine that separates itself from the other trims

    My first Toyota Tacoma
3rd Gen owner- Like to throw a few things into the ring here.
Had a Gen 1 Tacoma 2001 AC4x4. Loved it, stayed with the Tacoma because of it. Bought a 2017 with 150k with high expectations. Some things I like and some I don’t. There is a trust in a brand when you have a good experience with it. Hope the 4th gen is a great success, only helps the resale for the other generations of Tacomas. Toyota takes pretty good care of their customers, better than other manufacturers anyway. Funny how some people just want to stir things up. Buy what you want and enjoy!!

It does. The i-force max. I also noticed that the difference between the OR and Pro is closer if you take into consideration the upgarde on the motor. Where I stay if you upgrade from the non-hybrid OR to the i-force max system it is about a 6k premium. That would make the rest of the differences of only about 4k.

Can you imagine the maintenance cost of these trucks you spent $60K+ for after the warranty runs out ?
The older tacos were easy to fix, and kept going.
Now you have turbos, info screens, batteries, motors, 100's of sensors and the list goes on. All thanks to gov CAFE regulations.
No more is it a simple truck that will go 200K without high cost maintenance and tech that outdates in a few years, not worth fixing.
Give me a simple V8 and 4 barrel holley with a manual.

I can afford 10 of these, cash.
Not for the sheep maybe ?
I would go fullsize straight V8 rather than spend money on stupid stuff like a 4 banger turbo battery /motor and fancy seats etc.
Fact that V8's in Tundras are not available anymore also is insane. As the 6 cylinder engines are failing, all 100,000.
    Go for it. Baahhhhh.
