I have an 09 with a 6" Fabtech lift. I noticed it started yesterday, never before, but when i switch into 4hi and lo, there is a grinding in the front end somewhere but only when I am decelerating, not when I speed up.
It is pretty cold and snowy here, not sure if that has something to do with it. I checked out the CV shafts, no movement, but the front drive shaft has maybe 1/4" movement where it meets the front diff.
I had the gears changed with the lift 8 months ago, but this just started. Can gear teeth become un-sync'd?

If they set up crappy, yes. Front is PITA to set it up. and prone to loose its setup if anything was not up to the spec. I would get that checked soon.
