4LO fitty.

Ooookay, I went out for you purist yesterday and used 4LO to climb my favorite hill. All TRAC, 4LO and this climb is getting better and better the more it’s being wheeled. Steps are starting to occur in the rock nearing the top. The use of TRAC only bumps up the adrenaline.

If you like wheeling sand, plenty of it at Hungry Valley.

I couldn’t help the country drive after.

Of course it was fun! 4LO, TRAC OFF and I floored it up the same hill. Motor humming all the way up. Good fella up top took this photo and shared it with me. He said the truck sounded tough.

I don’t baby my Taco, and I’ll tell ya, the Mount 3.5 powertrain is a stout one!

Chapter 1-This Trail Beckoned to the Bono, and I went looking for Lone Tree Hill.

So I get to Dove Springs just before getting to Robbers Roost, and headed straight to the same location where I tried 4LO+TRAC OFF+Sport+ last time. I decided not to air down because the last time I tried it, I was leaving Dove Springs, and I had just aired up to get ready to get on the 395 southbound when I got the beaner idea. So I wanted to keep the parameters the same…or so I thought as everything was going as planned and as usual.

 

Trying to break the land speed record in 4x4 low range isn't exactly real "truck stuff"..but I get what you're saying lol

Chapter 2- Fuck. You’re going to look stupid bro.

So I take out my tape measurement and measure out 60’. I was curious how close I could get to 2.2 from Tech(something) on YouTube. And I also wanted TO REALLY REALLY BADLY SHOW YOU GUYS WHAT I HAD EXPERIENCED THAT DAY. The purist of adrenaline rushes. I get in me Taco and take a big deep breath as last time I was sawing at the wheel with quick adjustments.

And then it happened. Talk about not wanting to get on the cell to make the dreaded call!
