Yes and no. It's kinda like missing a stick shift to me. Sure, there a fun driver engagement aspect, but an auto is way more convenient when my knee or hip is acting up, or when I'm bumbling out the door ten minutes late than planned and wishing I didn't have to go to work.

Less monkeying around with a lever, I still have a 1st gen. Stop, throw it in 4Lo, done. No finicky procedure, plus you can feel it engage in your hand without dash lights/buzzers fussing at you.

It took me minute or ten to figure out my 3rd Gen first time I put it in 4Lo, thought this is ridiculous coming off my 1st Gen.

And yes I hear you on the auto, have grown to love it, kinda nice being lazy and not having to push the clutch in. Now I just Sunday drive the manual truck.
