Time for a Diamond Axle with a Tundra 10.5 center section and disc brakes.

Ptff, just air down and keep going.

Really the best advice anyone can give you right now, would be to find a local wheeling club and go wheeling with them. Our group does a few runs a year dedicated to introducing new member to wheeling it really seems to help. As you see online many of us differ in opinion about how to do things and we differ even more in how we communicate. There is no place better to learn than on the trail with others you trust.

Besides you are far enough North in Alabama you have to learn the rocks and the mud.

Is there a speed limit to 4lo?

Last night I kicked it into 4Lo while in the neighborhood.

Why? Eh I've had the truck for 8 months and I just wanted engage it to make it sure it worked.

Now I just need to find a hill or sorts to test out the crawl control for fun.

If you drive straight, you can test 4WD hi or low, on pavement. It is turning that you want to be off the pavement so the tires can scuff without binding... Wet pavement is okay in 4 hi. 4 low is just that LOW gearing for slow crawling or climbing. You won't be going too fast as the engine will otherwise be screaming!
