Will an '08 4Runner ARB bumper fit an '06 Tacoma? I found one on local CL and it's a decent deal...

    Not without modification, at best.

Any idea as to what would need to be modded?

Custom mounting points or something. I don't know anything for sure man, but think about it, have you ever seen a bumper on here or an ARB or anything advertised as, "will fit Tacoma OR 4Runner". They have different mounting points I assume so if you got it, you would have to rig up some custom way to mount it, most likely.

I would say pass on it man, it's not made for your truck so it'll most likely suffer its integrity for its intended purpose if you rig it up all ghetto.

That being said, there is still a very slight possibility someone who knows more than I will chime in and tell you there is a way, I just wouldn't hold my breath.

Best bet to know what may have to be done would probably be to PM a Vendor here who sells bumpers for 4Runners as well as Tacomas. That way you know they have intimate knowledge of the mounting points for both and can tell you if it's doable or not.

I talked to the seller and he is saying he contacted a shop and they're guaranteeing they can put the 4Runner bumper on my Taco for $125...Idk who to believe here...

Did you PM a vendor who sells both, they would know best.

Don't "believe" me, I was just giving you a thought to work with, it doesn't seem likely. If they can make it work, awesome man!

I do believe you. The thing is that they guarantee they will be able to mount it for a good price. But i still have yet to follow your advice and PM a vendor...I think I'll just call ARB later and see what they have to say

Okay. I found out that it is actually a Taco bumper that he put on his 4Runner. He is getting rid of it b/c of that...it never really fit right.
