Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Not a fan of 4runners, but I like and I mean REALLY like that black one! Aside from the scion emblem, of course.

yours is the first one ive seen that actually used the 4runner front flares. i assume they fit on the tacoma fenders fine? looks better than having the taco fenders up front and 4runner ones out back.

I had the limited option on it. The fender line was a little off, but the size of the flare ate up the difference. It attached really nice. I used metal clips on the flare and 10mm bolts from the inside of the fender into the flair. When I ordered the fenders, I got fenders without flair clip holes on purpose because I was not yet sure how it was going to go.006.jpgHere is a side by side of sorts, a kind of before and after in real time. 016 (2).jpg

Hmm. Interesting that you kept the 4runner bumper. I've wondered how that bumper would look on a Taco.

I have a question on that. Do you have to swap the fender apron and radiator support out. Reason I ask is I need to replace mine on a truck that I got and 4runners are far more abundant in the junkyards than tacomas. So it would be much easier just to use the 4runner parts

Ok so now I need to get a 4-Runner so I can put a Tacoma front end on it. The 4-Runner clip on the Taco doesn't look that great IMO, and if OP ever backs his ^%*$ it won't matter 'cause I don't care.

It will be easier to swap the radiator support. The grill and lights will attach without modification. The 98 t4r I did not change the core support because it was not damaged. I had to cut the small square holes in for the grill. I swapped a 99 to an 01 to 04 grill with a core support change. It was simple. The core support was cheap. With a pinch weld drill bit it was cake.

Thanks and what about the fender apron that's the part I'm most curious about?

On the 99 tacoma, the cab was 2x4. I had to use 4x4 inner fender plastic. On the 98 4runner to 01 taco I used the t4r fender flairs with the original t4r inner fender plastic. The t4r inner fender and flair did not match the tacoma fender wheel well line. I was able to attach with a little effort. Use the inner fender plastic for the fender you plan to use. The 4x4 tacoma, 2x4 tacoma, the 4runner will be different than as the fender wheel lines are not the same.

What  I got lost in all that, all I'm asking is if the part that goes here (fender skirt/apron) is interchangeable on the Tacoma and 4runner

Should be the same, the core support may be the difference.
