4Runner Harness Order Lost

Hey,
My harness seems to be lost by the USPS, it's just changing date every day, and says moving through their system. Order info below. It was scheduled to arrive several days ago.

I am ready to install with 2023 Headlights and if I reorder the harness and I ever get the original by mail, can I return one for a refund?

I filled out an USPS lost package inquiry online with no luck so far.

I would not care to pay extra for USPS Priority Mail, UPS etc.

This does indeed suck. It’s not the first time I’ve seen USPS have trouble. And there is likely a big surge in volume for them, I see it when I drop off.

The earliest I could build and ship a 2nd harness is Tuesday so it might be best to check tracking again on Monday.

One other guy in a similar situation got both packages on the same day. So it’s hard to beat the original with a resupply. Typical waits for these improperly routed packages tend to be right around 2 weeks from ship date to arrival date.

Extra ironic that I was in your town for CIM on Sunday. I considered bringing it with me and dropping it off but didn’t quite have time for that.

If you’re not super tight on timeline because you already installed, I’d just wait a little bit more. I can always make this right without having to buy another harness.

If you already installed, the simplest option is I can send a no shutter harness today as those are quick to build and you would have full functionality of low beams and therefore be safe on the road.

 

Sadly this happens all to often.

Any more mail is worse then with the pony express .

In coming statements arrive after the due date out going payments just vanish in the last year I have paid well over $2000.00 in late fees.

My UPS driver gets a $20.00 tip when i see him and a $100.00 at Christmas.

 

FWIW, I don’t think I have a single situation of USPS actually losing a package. I’ve only seen delays which on rare occasions can stretch past 2 weeks.

UPS and FedEx rates are 5-10x what USPS charges. And USPS is particularly good at smaller packages given its daily coverage area. I also consider it an ever so slightly “greener” option but that’s purely guesswork without actual metrics.

I do UPS for large and heavy stuff but USPS gets everything I send if it fits in the bin.

FedEx rates are about the same cost of me driving there and back, not counting the value of my time or maintenance on the vehicle. I realize they are trying to make a profit and demand is high.

I wish someone would start an EV package distribution service or that Amazon fulfillment would spin off a service for delivery only.

 

Thanks!!!! I will check tracking again Monday. I really need the high beam since I am not in my 20's no longer, lol. That would have been perfect to drop off the harness; I would had met you anywhere and bought lunch\dinner. Also, would have gifted you a 22 4Runner headlight with broken tab if you needed another for testing (That was the first set that was not as describe). But was lucky to find a nearly new 2023 set.
