Having gone 250k, Aug 2016 was the time to replace the original clutch & get the driver's seat rebuilt/stuffed. Front & back Weathertech liners. '05 Tundra front disc brake swap. Full length Rocky Mountain Rack with 40" lightbar, Alternating strobe rear dust lights. I used a warm weekend in March 2022 to finally install my brand new from old stock 2000 4Runner driver's seat. $800 directly from the factory in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.

They are a scam & it's possible to do permanent damage your engine with one that has been programmed too far out of Toyota spec.

If you want a chip mod that actually does something look here:

I really have no complaints about mine. In 2008 mine was $425, plus extension wires ($25?) & another $150 or so to take off the upper plenum, connect the wires to injectors 2-4-6 & remount the upper plenum. Yes your mileage will go down 10-15% but with a price difference of around $.50/gal it makes up for it. When I did the conversion it paid for itself in 6 months. The difference in how it burns in the cylinders gives you V8 power output from a V6 5VZ-FE when above 2500rpm.

There are other advantages for your engine doing this as well. I can talk about specifics if people are interested.

Having said that you need to look into availability of E85 in your region. Where I am there are a few stations in every city from Cheyenne, WY to Pueblo, CO. The last time I went to Seattle there were only about 3 stations in all of King county. The one that most convenient for me was Gateway Gas & Deli, a Shell station just off I-90 in Snoqualmie.
