I've been considering the purchase of a new 4runner and I am trying to determine the differences between the SRT Premium and the Offroad Premium. The most noticeable is the 4x4 select feature. The SRT has the "switch" and the Offroad has the "stick". I guess I don't understand why someone would choose the stick over the switch option? Other than a few cosmetics, am I missing something else between these 2 models? The SRT is a few thousand dollars cheapers is the main reason for my question. Also, this vehicle will never see off-road conditions but it will be used to carry kayaks, canoe, Mt bikes and dogs. Heated leather seats are a must. Thanks in advance

The SR5 4x4 will serve your purpose just fine over the Offroad if your not rock crawling. The SR5 doesn’t have a locker either but has ATRAC and downhill assist.

There is no SRT in Toyota's lineup, may be Dodge's, but not Toyota's. You probably meant SR5 which should be fine for your needs unless you want creature comforts such as leather and bunch of other cool stuff.

My bad, SR5 is what I meant. And yes, I will need leather just for the ease of dog hair removal. I'm currently leaning towards the SR5 Premium just to save a few grand.

That’s what I did. Wife didn’t need a locker, basically doing all the stuff you want to do with a bulldog with the softlex material seats

Toyota's leather isn't that durable. I'd save some cash and get an aftermarket Katskins or something similar
