I want to swap out my bench for a set of buckets but I have no luck finding a pair from a Taco. Will the 4Runners' bolt-on or need modification?

Hmmm, not sure. You'd think if they were from a similar model year that they'd drop right in since most auto manufacturers use parts that fit across certain models to save $$$. If you can find a set have the seller measure the mounting points and compare to your Taco. Worst case you might be able to adapt the seats to Taco mounting brackets (sometimes as easy as bolting on new brackets).
