I'm looking into purchasing the TRD Pro 4Runner rims with 265/70R17 BFG tires to replace my stock tires and rims and I was wondering if anyone else who is running these tires and rims was able to fit the 4Runner tire/wheel (which is 1" taller than stock) under the bed of the truck where the stock spare currently sits or if they had to do some sort of modification to make it fit.

It’ll fit without modification. The wheel diameter isn’t the limiting factor, but rather the tire size. You should have no issues with a 265/70/17.

Mandatory tint, in-channel visors, and 265/75R16 MT Toyos.
I’m looking to purchase this exact same. I think it’s a right of passage for Tacoma owners.

I figured the tire size was going to be the issue but I wanted to be specific about the wheel as well in case there was something out of the ordinary with those wheels that would also cause issues. I appreciate the info!
