    It's my OCD Nit-Pick time... it's either the 4th Annual Christmas tree build, or the 2019 Christmas tree build... but NOT BOTH!!!!

    Someone convince me to put up my tree. Last 3 years NO ONE OTHER THEN ME has seen it... no family, no neighbors... hours of time wasted...

    Put up your tree. :boink:

    Here's why:

    There aren't going to be many people that see mine either. But that's not why I do it. I do it for me. I decorate my house so that it looks a little different during a short time of year. You might have noticed that the holidays fall on the winter solstice, when daylight is at its shortest. It's so easy to fall into a funk, not want to do anything because it's dark and nasty out as soon as you get off work. So I put up some lights, push back the furniture, put up a tree. It gives me a bit of energy, a bit of cheer, a little encouragement to be a little nicer, and maybe even some courage to invite someone over.

    And that's why I celebrate Christmas. Spreading joy provides a little bit of light, a little bit of warmth, in the darkest time of year. It recharges the ol' internal battery. Gets you in a mindset to get ready to kick January's ass.

    Putting up a tree isn't wasting time for me. It's an investment to break away from the real waste of time - sitting on my ass, in the dark, with only the glow of some Netflix show that I'm not really interested in anyway.

    That's why I do it. For my own health. And you absolutely should too.
    Cheers, buddy.:cheers:

    @Plain Jane Taco

    Somebody ran a red light while I had a green left arrow and almost T-boned me last night; Anyone who can’t see my truck in its current state is obviously legally blind and should not have a driver’s license.

    So, not this year, but a funny story. This was at my wife and I’s first house. Prior to kids when all we had was a dog and her cats. Well, she spent the evening making it all pretty to wake up to the second pic. I was dying. Cats made short work of it.
