Even if it is sunny while we're there, it's supposed to rain 3-5 inches the week leading up to LBL so there will be plenty of mud to go around.

    Eww no.

If that's the case I could see them closing due to it being too wet.

I read something a few days ago on another site where a lot of the fire roads @ Red River Gorge were being closed until further notice due to wet conditions.

(Used) spare tire search was a bust. I went to 4 tire shops.... no one had anything. I guess I'll just go ahead and debead one this trip so i can get it over with.

Just took my spare out from under the bed (never taken it down before :anonymous:) thinking about leaving it home since it's not full size now, or should I put it back up before the trip and have it anyway?

Have it anyways! Can always put it in the front if one debeads for the trip home. To keep wheeling bead the full size tire back on the wheel and then when you get home debead it and clean it out and balance it and then it's good as new

Just got the CB installed. Hopefully it works... I have a lot of static, I have to have the squelch 3/4 of the way up to get rid of the static.

I have BAMF tailgate mount. I know the bed isn't the best for ground. And as far as power and ground for the radio I ran them both directly to the battery.

This is where I have it mounted and I checked with an ohm meter and it has a good ground where the metal is mounted.

Interesting. I have mine mounted there as well. Similar mount but from a different company. I ended up running a ground wire from one of the bolts to the frame. My swr was above 3 (sometimes it said infinity) beforehand but now it is down in the proper range.

I'm going to run a ground wire to the frame. Thanks for the advice.
