3/17/16–Turkey Bay Off-Highway Vehicle Area will remain Closed through this weekend, Mar. 19-20. The area received over 6 inches of rain last week resulting in many washouts, deep holes, and other drainage concerns, especially on the main trail. The trail system will remain closed until these safety hazards and other repairs can be addressed. These temporary closures, while inconvenient, are intended to serve as another proactive measure to be sure Turkey Bay remains open for all riders in the future.

Just got ambitious and did time/distance check and printed out a route map. According to mapquest, I can make the 162 mile drive in 3 hours and 4 minutes from my house to Neville Bay. Oddly enough, it says 3 hours and 42 minutes to Golden Pond, which is actually CLOSER according to the map I'm looking at.

Now scratching my head in dismay.

Out the door and on the way to Urology clinic in 10 minutes. Hoping this goes well. As you might already be able to tell....I'm a bit apprehensive to say the very least.

Short and sweet....Admitted tomorrow afternoon by 2PM.....Peritoneal Dialysis Saturday morning starting @ 7AM. Procedure takes 4 to 7 hours. If all goes well, dismissed Sunday around noon. May be a one time deal. may need a 2nd round. Is supposed to remove infection and cause of reoccurring infection in abdomen, in and around kidneys. I got the cliff notes version of what this is, but have to go home and read up on it before I could even begin to explain how this works.

    No joy this weekend.

Two types of dialysis. One they pump your blood through filters outside of the body. Can't recall what that's called. Peritoneal dialysis, they pump a fluid in the the body, which absorbs contaminate(s) then slowly remove the fluid while replacing it with more fluid. So far, that's all I know. By Sunday, I'll know a lot more.

Sorry to hear about the results. Glad they're taking measures to get you healthy though, there will always be another wheeling trip. If you have any questions about the dialysis just PM me, I'd be happy to help answer them for you.
