Yes, I'm driving out Friday night so I don't have to roll out of SD at 6am on Sat morning. I was probably just going to pulling off the dirt road on the south side of I-10 since it's open space and setup there, but it doesn't matter to me.

You planning on arriving that night as well?

Although the museum may not be open, I understand you can drive around back and check out the historiacal tanks, even park next to them. Might be worth trying.

This area right behind the museum is on BLM land and looks like it's a good spot for Friday night, if anyone else is interested.

Hotel California? It’s a little bit south west of the museum.

    More than I can afford
Been looking at the weather forecast and Saturday's high is supposed to be near 110.

Thinking I am gonna pass on this year's festivities. Really want to go but that is too much for me.

But it's desert, so it's a "dry" heat and will only fell like a cool 68.

95% sure I will be making it at this point, I just got back from a trip and take a look at a few things. There will be another first gen Tundra from Tundras.com with me, as well as a jeep. Is there a set frequency or is it just going to be picked day of?

I drove through the area Friday evening and it was still 90 degrees when the sun was going down. Gonna be warm!

Hi all. Sorry to say I'm going to drop from the ride and will catch you next time. The wife and I don't do too well in that kind of heat regardless of cranking the AC on full blast. Have fun and be safe!

Hey all, I'm Erik, the buddy of @des2mtn. Des mentioned me as a guest with a friend. I'm bringing my 1st gen Tundra and my buddy is bringing his Jeep. We will see you there Saturday AM.

Is there a radio frequency? I don't know how to program mine in the field. I do it on the computer. Looking forward to seeing you all.
