Glam shots at the nature center parking lot. I walk my dog and bird there.

 

Ok…I gotta ask, you walk your bird? Is it an Emu? I don’t think I have ever heard that.

 

Birding is a hobby. "I bird" is short for hunting birds and documenting the species, number, location, time and study behavior (Ornithology).

This is a Barred Owl female from yesterday morning. It is nesting season for them. This was a distant photo of her at roost in deep cover, early morning with thick cloudy skies. Most people would never see her.

 

Ahhh, learn something new every day! Very cool, I like birds, I don't go as far as documenting, but I do like watching them.
I still think you should be walking an emu with the dog!!! Lol

The hummingbirds are getting ready to arrive. Here’s a nest from a couple of years ago. I usually photograph 5-7 every spring.

Birding is a fun hobby.

 

Here in San Diego, the local resivoirs are all stocked with trout & have one 30 seconds from my house, Lake Jennings...
This rings the dinner bell for a handful of resident Bald Eagles, most people dont even know they exist here in SD...
Never gets old watching them while I bass fish, & they look so impressive!
Very cool to see them in somewhat of a busy city even though its kind of country, I guess...

Before I started my career at the dealership I ran my uncles salmon gill-netting boat for a season in Alaska.
Walked the beach one evening & there were a bunch sitting on the bluffs, 5 feet from me...
Stood as tall as me, well atleast it seemed that way...
