4th Gen Colors

Toyota discontinues all of their good vehicles, options, or packages. I probably would have went for a silver or gray SX, but you had to get an SR5 which gave you fog lights, but I like the SR interior better. Before that they added a power seat to the V6 SX, I don't want a power seat. They finally got the seat delete right, still can't opt for the vinyl floor and I don't know if any 4gs will have manual seats.

 

They do don’t they. Like the SR interior the best all the trim pieces except for the hvac controls are black. Silver or colored looks cheesy to me. Maybe if I was 12 it would be ok. Power seats don’t really need them, once you set it you leave it, would be nice when my wife takes my truck…seems like it takes me a week to get it back to the spot I like. Not even sure if the power has memory, never looked.

The RAV4 loner we have has them, maybe I need to look. It is Calvary Blue, that color isn’t bad, my wife loves it. Gotta get the TRD trim to get it though, $43K, it is nice and all, but not $43K nice, that is more than what I paid for the Taco. Toyota loves to try and push you into higher trims. Really hate how they spec their vehicles. In this day and age with computers and assembly done mostly by robots, should be able to punch in the exact options you want then hit “place order”, in a few weeks it shows up at your door. Need to get rid of salespeople too. What do they actually do anyways? Other than get a commission for trying to bullshit you into something you don’t want?

Pyrite Mica/Quicksand and now Lunar Rock hide the dust and dirt well

Pickins were slim when I bought. Wanted silver, those seem to be rare here. Could always trade in, too much hassle for a color.

 

Not sure how Toyota can not run MGM or another dark gray for the new Tacoma. Its an overdone color but its sharp and a safe play.

 

There’s a dark grey on the official 2024 Tacoma site, so I think it’s a safe bet that there will be such a color

 

I would like to see nautical blue from the 4runners. Blue crush is too purple in direct light...

 

Blueprint is a nice blue. Looks good on the current Tundras.

 

Anyone know if the black is gonna be the same “midnight black” with the hints of blue? I love black but have never been a fan of the midnight black that Toyota does

 

Unfortunately metal-flake black is the current rage across all the manufacturers right now.

 

Im fine with the flake, I just hate how it’s like a blue color in the light
