Actually its possible to remove the jbl amp entirely on the 3rd gen. The rockford dsr1 enables you tonuse aftermarket amps with the jbl amp removed. So for they don't state if it works on the 24+ taco's yet

Who built this box, and would it be possible to get about three quarters of a cube from just one side to leave the other side for storage?

its a box by ground shaker....
They have a 10" & 12" option, you need all the airspace you can get to get good sound,
I personally wouldnt waste funds with the single 10"....
Also they have 2 versions of the box for both 10"&12", one cutout specific to the JL TW3, & the other for any other shallow mount...
Theyre actually using the passenger side of the truck to get the .9 cubic feet of required airspace also, it's not just a decorative upper panel to make it look cool....

Is there a factory amplifier in the Non-JBL system? or can the Audison C8 amp be wired directly from the head unit?

my guess is you still need a PAC ap4 ty 14, so youre not butchering all your wires, & helps keep a good signal....

Did work on mine over the weekend. Morel Maximo ultra 3 way components up front, coax in the rear. On an audio control d4.800 amp.

Used a PAC AP4-TY14 for line output

WHY DID TOYOTA USE MOLEX CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE DOOR AND THE BODY? Couldn't run speaker wire all the way into the doors. You need to splice into the factory wiring.

Took some time, but figured them out. In the kick panels and the B pillar there is a pair of wires that are twisted together. Those were the speaker wires for the door speakers.

I've got the iforce max, so storage in cab is super limited. Didn't want to put amp behind the rear seats and lose storage. Amp fit perfectly under the passenger seat, resting on the plastic rail the factory seat wiring attaches to.

Ended up drawing and printing some brackets for the mids in the dash.

Link for brackets of anyone needs them.

So if I want to do a full sub replacement behind the seats, does anyone know the panel part number to replace it? I haven’t torn it apart yet but would it be a modest cost, one or two panel replace or am I looking at busting out the sawzall and redoing that whole space?

I want to run a slim 10 back there and don’t want to go under the seat if I can avoid it.

They do, but then how do you get from the AMP to the speaker?

PAC APH-TY02 harness. Connects at the JBL amp under the drivers seat, and makes a T-harness. Use some 8-conductor speed wire, and make the connections from amp to speakers.
