If someone could figure out how to switch around the front and rear door wiring at the head unit, then some quality 3ways in the front could be a major improvement. I have had several cars that greatly improved after replacing door speakers with minimal expense and effort. But this wont work with the current wiring.

There is a fairly easy way to do it through the factory JBL amp under the seat with this Pac wiring harness: PAC APH-TY02 Harness Works with a PAC AmpPro module to install a new amplifier in select 2007-21 Toyota and Lexus vehicles with factory amp at Crutchfield This harness allows you to use the factory speaker wires in the truck. It plugs into the JBL amp under the driver's seat and supplies you with wires that you can run to the output of an aftermarket amp. But it also has return wires that you can splice back into the harness and have the JBL amp continue to supply power to whatever speakers that you still would like the JBL amp to power. I know this probably sounds confusing so I'll try and answer any questions you might have.

Great! This should work to get rear speaker full range signal to the front doors making a front door upgrade worth the effort. In my experience front door speakers upgrade as been the best bang for the buck.

Not sure how knowledgable on the matter you are but you linked a harness for the previous gen....
We all had to wait for the ap4-ty-14 controller / interface to come out as there were some significant differences in the actual wiring harness.....

Couldn't we just locate the correct speaker wires coming off the amp and switch around front and rear doors? Then replace front doors with good full range and call it a day.

Well, I haven't hooked it up yet and I certainly could be wrong, but on the PAC website it states that it is compatible: APH-TY02 – PAC-Audio. Someone else on this thread recommended it.

Yeah, Im not certain, its been a minute since I dug into all this...
I was on the phone with PAC many times in the beginning of this thread as Bob & I were trying to figure things out.
Shop he sourced claimed there were some different connectors comparing the previous gen JBL amp & new gen, if I remember correctly....
they claimed the looked at one...

Who knows, might be just worth a call to PAC before pulling the trigger.

I've already pulled the trigger about a month ago. I just have to get off my lazy butt and finish the install, lol. I'm doing a rear seat delete and custom sub box/amp rack, without doing any damage that would not allow me to turn everything back to the stock setup if I ever need to.

Are you going to be selling the adapter for the sub or would you mind posting the 3D printer file? I'm really interested in using that same sub. Also, did you build a wiring harness or just spice into the stock wires? Good work all around.
