Getting prepared but not looking forward to it…
I paid $4.78 for the pair of rollers with free shipping off of eBay, quality looks great actually.
Looked today and the same link it’s $8… Go figure.

Where did you see that? I just checked their site and can’t find anything specific to the 2024.

contact him, just what he told me in response to my inquiry . I have no idea when it will go live, or if he will sell now....
Theyre in-process of waiting for their 3d scan to be complete so they can config a box...
From my understanding, theyre working hard at trying to get something out there...
They have their personal truck & its gutted, in-process..

Thank you. Yeah so with stock head unit like on my old 09 Taco, if I wanted to add a sub, I’d need a head unit amp with sub out and then amp for sub correct? I took out the custom Rockford Fosgate sub box from old Taco that Car Toys made and left the Focal speakers and Alpine and RF amps.

Maybe he could also incorporate speakers into the rear headrests to match the sound coming out of the front, removeable JBL.

Yeah, one option is IF your head unit has a sub out, you can do what you posted. The other option is IF you do not have a sub out on your head unit, you can run all speaker line outs into a DSP unit, let the DSP manage the separate L-R channels including a feed out to a powered sub. All this can be controlled via a laptop connection to the DSP. But with this option, you have to have ALL feeds to your existing speakers come from the DSP, which means rewiring, really a PITA - and it's expensive to get into a DSP.

Let's hope you have a sub out on your head unit :^)

I agree with OP. Waited before posting. The JBL in my gen 4 is definitely inferior to the JBL in my 2nd gen. Don't know what Toyo did to downgrade the overall sound, but it happened, imho...

Had my TRD Sport for a month. Only disappointment so far is the JBL "Premium" system. Not even close to the Panasonic ELS in my RDX or the Bose in my previous GMC truck. Not premium, not......even....close.
I'll be watching this thread and forum in the future to hopefully see modifications, add-ons, or updates we can make to improve the situation, outside of scrapping the whole system and starting over.
Other than this complaint, this is my first Taco and really liking it!

if youre looking to just improve the current system, this is suppose to add a nice bump in the overall system performance & easy to install...
It will not turn your subwoofer into mirror shaking bass though....

Does anybody have a recommendation for A-pillar tweeters for the JBL system? I just ordered Ibnate777's JBL 34f's mids, (thanks for the info) but was wondering about the tweeters. Thanks!

Update, found that if you turn off "Auto sound levelizer" the sound improves a tad...

It got noticeably louder, with the same bass/treble settings.

I have installed JL Audio RD900/5 amplifier, due to the JBL amplifier configuration, I have only boosted the Sub (not mounted; sorry Slater). I have worked with Al and Eds and they are on hold from properly installing an amplifier in a 2024 Tacoma with JBL. Engineers are working on an audio controller to pull the signals from the stock system. Toyota/JBL has six signals going in and out of the JBL amp under the driver's seat. The options are getting three amplifiers to amplify all the signals, (not a realistic option) or waiting until the controller is put to market which could be any day or six months from now.
I am currently running Infinity Kappa 6.5 and tweeters in the back, Infinity Kappa 6x9, tweeters and 303 for the mids, with a JL Audio CS110LG-TW3 subwoofer running at half power, or else it would drown out the other 10 speakers until they get amplified.
I mounted the amp where the stock sub was on the back wall, with plenty of room to spare. The sub 10 or 12 will ultimately be installed under the back seat in a custom box, once made available.
The system sounds better with new Infinity and JL speakers; it should be insane once the amp is fully hooked up and operational.
I may wait for year two on the gen 5, currently on order and waiting on the Diamondback cover for 5-6 weeks, Cali Raised Rock Sliders for 3-4 weeks, the Front Skid Plate TBD, the BedRug TBD, AVS Wind deflectors TBD, most importantly and audio controller to hook up my amp.
I will update the pictures this weekend, I intend to pull the front seats and carpet to install matting on the front floorboards.

Toyota uses aluminum for the tweeters.
