Passenger floorboard matting is complete. Disassembly and reassembly was not too difficult.

The JBL is under the driver seat.

I installed mine behind driver side rear seat, where the original sub was located.

I have the JBL system, and want to upgrade the door speakers next (already did the mids in the dash with 3 ohm club34f's. Will I be able to mount up some standard 6x9's with the existing door mounting holes or will I need to fabricate something? And second question, should I stick with 3 ohms for the door speakers?

I think you need mounting brackets, the 3rd gen mounts didn't line up, all 4 holes. Easy fix .
    Unsure on the 3 ohms.

Hey BoB, unrelated question here. During your demolition derby did you happen to take any notice or photos of the wireless charger location? I'm looking into ideas to add a switch on the charger for hot days to avoid heat build up.

Wait so if JLsub box didn’t fit under seat, where did you put it?

The sub is still in the box floating around the backseat. Awaiting a box for under the seat.

No, I only lifted the center console to pass wires and add Matting.

Not sure about prior versions, but there is nothing "Premium" about this one compared to competitor offerings. One of my few complaints so far.

A little FYI, I installed some aftermarket JBL 6x9's in the door of my 24' with the JBL upgrade stereo. I used the wiring plug adapter in the link above to connect with the new speakers. The adapter has a small and a large female connector which correspond with the positive and negative on the new speakers. I assumed that polarity was was correct, installed the speakers and had poor bass and there were some sounds which I now realize was likely the active noise canceling having a stroke, as the polarity of the speakers was reversed, I suspected. So after pulling both doors apart again, my multimeter confirmed that the above adapter (which also fits the dash Mids to btw) has the polarity reversed. My stereo sounds much better now, with decent bass. So check your wiring with a multimeter as you go. Add some sound deadening to the doors while your at it, I did a bit of a hack job installing it, but it made a big difference.
I remember someone mentioning either on this forum or the other one that they were having some weird issues with their noise canceling after adding speakers and they disabled it. I wonder if the polarity was reversed too...

Glad someone's breaking this down, I had to recenter my system back a few clicks because I felt like that Flex speaker overpowers the whole front of the truck.

I have not done the research or fit test, wondering if I can fit a few 6.5" subs under the seat.

that would be clean, I’ve been looking a speakers.

Do you know if you have the JBL system it would be best to find a 3 component set for the front or build your own? All the 3.5s seem to be 2 ways and having 4 tweeters in the front seems like a lot but I’ve only found a few company’s that seem to have a 3 comp set for sale
