Because Toyota has one of the worst marketing departments of all the auto manufacturers.

I would much rather dislike the looks in the beginning and eventually love the look, than think it's beautiful in the beginning and eventually hate the look.
Now, apply that standard to people.

Its been 2 years, Tundra rear end still makes me vomit. Thats like saying the Pontiac Aztec grew on people or the 2019 Camaro front end update. New isnt always better and car designs aren't always progressive.

The best looking Tundras are the completely black ones, with oversized tires. Hides a lot of the stuff I don’t like.

Just imagine how much further along they would be if their marketing department was better.....or...maybe marketing is not all its cracked up to be..

It's working so far. There are forums and websites dedicated to the 4th gen from that one teaser.

Agreed! Saw a black sport in my hood similar and it does a good job hiding the bad lines, etc. still not a fan of the interior.

Never bothered me like it did others. I had a 2016 allocation September of 2015. The cheese grater grille I did struggle with for awhile. I even dug the weird cloth seat pattern.

I’m sure lunar rock will still be available like it is on the new tundra, noticed jeep adopted a version of the color too now.

I agree. From that view it looks very similar to the 3rd gen trucks. Most people wouldn’t even notice the difference. I think that’s a fail on Toyota’s part.

    More than I can afford
Other then the 3rd gen grille,
Tundras fresh off the lot have always looked awkward to me (at least 2nd gen on). Like they skipped leg day or something.

Lift, 35s and a more aggressive wheel offset fixes a lot of it.

I am very happy to see that. I have one now and love it. So if I do ever move to the 4th-gen I will certainly want that configuration again in a TRD Offroad. Very cool.
