I didn’t know Hoonigan was buying up other companies. I liked Ken Block and his family but I’m not a fan of a lot of the other crew.

 

This feature should be standard on all trims with 4WD. I dislike the visual appearance of the limited.

 

Normally I agree. Not a fan of the chrome. My wife's was a Nightshade. The chrome is blacked out. It looked really sharp. Here is a pic of one like we had. It is not our vehicle.

 

Does the nightshade have AWD and the Torsen center diff too?

 

Yes, the Nightshade is a Limited with the chrome blacked out. All the Limited's have the full-time 4WD with the Torsen center diff.

 

Is there a Nightshade Edition Limited for 2024?

 

I don’t see that color package for the 2024 4Runner on Toyota.com.

 

I do not know, haven't looked.

Underground is a paint color, nightshade is a package only on limited.

Nightshade gets rid of the chrome and went to a dark gunmetal, plus dark wheels instead of shiny alloy. Twas the only way the limited looked good, unless you remember when tv was first broadcast in color.

 

Correct. Also, the Nightshade package came in three different colors black, white, and MGM. My wife specifically wanted an MGM Nightshade without the third row seat. I had a heck of a time finding one like that. Kept doing searches on the car buying websites and one popped up destined for a dealership in Indiana. Called them up and negotiated a price and put a deposit on it. It arrived two weeks later and we drove over and bought it. Traded in a 2014 4Runner SR5 Premium with 37k miles. They all wanted that trade.

 

Sounds like your old one is exactly what I’d get if I decide on a 4Runner

 

It was a nice ride for sure. But once my wife test drove the GX with the V8 it's fate was sealed.

This is good to hear as I am hoping to feel the same way. The Tundra looks awful in pics, but in person the weird creseases sort of work. Hoping the same happens with the Taco.

I agree, silver is decent looking, and probably what I would get if I could find one at a decent price without distributor rip-offs.

 

Do we still have to flip out about the fender flares now that they’re matte?

 

Supposedly the general manager was going to buy it this morning but the tech let me look inside under and in the hood honestly I would get one down the road it looks substantially better than the tundra
