Thank you, and although I do agree with them that a lot of crapware was installed that I'd rather not have, I'm a bit ambivalent when looking at the spec sheet. Maybe I'll like having a dash cam, which I never would have ordered

A Dashcam is a must have nowadays. The Toyota one is overpriced, but it is what it is and if you ever need it, it will be worth every penny.

    Congrats.

Wow that ain’t cheap! And that’s not even the hybrid!! If you don’t absolutely need a truck, I would honestly wait until all this hype for the new gen dies down if I were you. $895 for a “protection” package is absolute BS and way overpriced. I would get them to take that off or not even pay it

Got robbed, IMO. $900 for this package and a window tint. I got my front windows tinted for $100. Maybe this is dealerships' way of advertising no markup. Just sprinkle that markup across a bunch of crap.

    Screenshot 2024-02-08 at 2.21.05 PM.png

And they're charging $350 for these two packages.

    Screenshot 2024-02-08 at 2.29.33 PM.png Screenshot 2024-02-08 at 2.30.43 PM.png

But this isn't just this dealership.. Every window sticker I've seen the options are marked up. I've even seen a sticker charging extra for carpeted floor mats (the ones that every Tacoma comes with).

If you've got a 24' delivery coming, ask your dealer to price match Toyota on the options if they're marked up. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. But **** dealerships that charge any markup, add $500 fabric spray, $500 glass etching, etc, and then say they can't be removed. Sure they can. I'm sure they make a 99% profit margin on that stuff.

Mats even carpet aren’t standard anymore. My 2022 didn’t have any. Dealer was pissed when I took mine out of my trade.

I saw a Gulf States Toyota window sticker with a $200+ charge for carpeted floor mats. I also saw other 24's without that charge, and with carpeted floor mats.

I always strip my trade of stuff like that before allowing them to see it. Or in the case of my last trade, it was stripped of accessories before I took pictures.

May have changed but they were not standard prior. Plenty of threads people complaining about this. 12 Tacomas all gens.

As much as we pay for cars and trucks, a set of carpet mats should come with the vehicle. Especially vehicles above $50,000, which is damn near everything these days.

My 17 had no mats period. I didn't even notice until I got in it to go home lol.

It also was 32k, or about 43k in today dollhairs.

Our 17 4Runner came with both carpet and rubber mats. Some idiot at the dealer installed them on top of each other. Didn’t notice until I drive it 40 miles home. Talk about a potential disaster after their gas pedal floor mat fiasco.
