One hard bounce on those offset tires and bye bye flares and a bent fender or rear quarter. Keep the factory offset and 35 skinny's and you're golden.

Those models get the wider flares because they have the wider track. Three inches overall.

Hope the tire companies would have courage to offer more options to get there.

285/75-17 is a 34" tire. But yeah, removing that little bracket behind the mudflap is akin to a CMC on 2nd/3rd gens. I predict 35s will be the new mainstream upgrade, similar to 33s being popular on 2nd/3rd gens.

The real question is how bad are 35’s gonna slow you down on this gen or affect your MPG’s. It’s a truck but still with a smaller gas tank your range probably goes in the gutter

What does the bracket do? He calls it a safety something in the video. Should it really be removed?

^The bracket is to hold the mudflap. It's too flimsy to do anything structural. The cab mount structure (which provides tire intrusion protection in a crash) isn't being chopped away, so safety isn't compromised.
The non-hybrid OR comes with 32s stock and hybrid OR comes with 33s stock, so proportionally going to 35s isn't as drastic.

I'd love to know the asking price on that.

It’s at Universal Toyota in San Antonio. Listed on their site for $45k but I’m sure they want more than that for it.

It’s gonna be interesting to see how different the truck handles the 2 sixes. The 35’s look so good though it may be worth it

Don't forget $300 for the nitrogen in the tires.

Thanks for posting that. Does your dashcam get powered through the rear view mirror assembly or is there a power cable running in your headliner?

If I remember correctly it was powered off the mirror tap and turns off when the truck is off. May be wrong, since it has been a while since I almost bought one for my Tundra when I had it.
