4th gen Oil Change

    Yep the Subaru guys do like their Motul. I ran it in my old WRX in the transmission which, unlike most M/Ts, called for a GL-5 lube because it was in the same housing (shared sump) as the front differential and transfer case. It shifted great in that application, but I wouldn't run a GL-5 in the Tacoma M/T.

    Yea, it's kinda odd. Even has a little dipstick, on a manual which is very odd, but actually pretty cool.

    Some have the same issue on the 3rd gen. I followed the advise of the CCN. He said check the oil after 2-3 minutes after shutting the engine off. Ever since I started doing that there was no more issues. Also, looking at both sides of the dipstick helped. One side always seems to be clear and accurate.

    CBI full skids Diode Dynamics 4 pod SS5 on the bumper
    First pull vs probably 3 dips later :rofl: It's not my favorite dipstick, I'm just glad we have one at all. The one in my WRX hatch is extremely easy to read.

    Oil level has not changed since the last oil change at 5000 mi currently at 6340.
