Thanks, Other than a mild concussion and a couple bumps and bruises I’m all good. I will say, when you look at the damage and, know that the dump truck that hit me at about 40 mph was listed at 54k pounds in the report, the TRD held up very well. Best part was the dash cam footage was crystal clear

 

Good to hear. Many stories of these Tacomas protecting their occupants in some very serious accidents. Dash cam is a must these days. I installed one about 10 months ago. Hope I never have to use it for anything serious. But definitely provides piece of mind.

 

Been trying to find a MT OR for a year now. Damn near impossible!

 

Through 2024 - there were ~160 TRD OR 6MT for sale at any time - via tracking the live data feed from Toyota aggregated by KMG.

Color allocation is trickier to track - but the mix is roughly:

31.92% - Ice Cap
21.04% - Underground
19.08% - Celestial Silver Metallic
16.07% - Black
4.6% - Blue Crush Metallic
3.25% - Supersonic Red
1.7% - Bronze Oxide
1.17% - Wind Chill Pearl
0.94% - Solar Octane

Assuming 180K units sold - a 4% MT take rate - 4% of them being Solar Octane - and 50% of TRDs being OR - I'd expect there to be ~150 2024 Solar Octane TRD OR 6MTs on the road.

Be prepared to hop on a plane and have an adventure!

 

Nice truck. If you don't mind me asking, what's the price for a base model with trd offroad?

 

Base MSRP is $43,720 on a 6MT TRD OR with the Premium Paint charge ($425).

Mine had a few options that brought the MSRP up to $44,940 - sticker below.

I paid $40,900, which I felt was a decent value.

Just kidding.. why did you guys exclude the few g3 Solar Octanes? Just curious. As it turns out. Solar Octane was discontinued in 25 (I have not personally confirmed that).. if that's true... we all got a very rare color in Toyotas grand scheme of things. Because we all got one one year in each generations color.

 

Guessing because this is the 4th Gen section and the question was posed looking for a new truck

Well, if Solar Octane is on your list of must haves, you better hurry. After reading this I hopped over to Toyota's web site to "build" me a new Taco. Solar Octane on the option list for 2024, but not for 2025...
