Yeah the power seats not being included in the OR is a shit decision for the consumer.

But your numbers are not accurate. You're also disregarding everything that comes with the upgrade 4g package that you don't have. A more realistic comparison would be a 3g with the premium audio/navigation + options. So add $2300 on the 3g price.

All that said you can get a discounted (they are available at $3k off) 4g with the upgrade package about 15% over a similar 3g with the $4k discount.

This looks like a 3G pic based on the age of when it was taken. Let’s see the 4g

She costs more than a 2024 Tacoma.

Gas prices starting to creep up again, this will also put pressure on truck sales.

Not anymore, lol. Not unless it's 2WD and Stripped. Looked at a Tundra Limited at my dealership that was equipped similar to my TRD OR (minus the OR features like Crawl Control, etc...) and it was 69K discounted to 65. Plenty of 80K Tundras on the lot as well. Inflation has taken it's toll on everything.

That's corporate greed. Inflation has its place as well, but 80k Tundras has to do with where the market was going and toyota maxxing out their profits the last few years. Check for yourself.

Lots of nice mid Tundies at my dealer. As long as it doesn't say limited or hybrid anyways.

Unfortunately the 4th Gen model I want (TRD Offroad Premium) would cost $65,000 Canadian dollars.

Fair enough. Stripped 2WD was a little far, but feature for feature you're going to see a difference of around 10K. Some people don't care about cloth seats, small screens, and low tech. I do. My TRD OR Premium was 54 with a few port options. To get into a Tundra with the same features meant a limited. Once you add 360 cameras, and some of the other features you will end up in the mid 60's even with discounts. I suppose it's all about what you want. Plus, I'd been driving full size trucks for the last 20 years for the most part and was tired of navigating a boat around as a daily. They just keep getting bigger. I believe someone said the new Tacoma is about the same size as the original Tundra. I will say so far I love my new Taco. It feels so nimble in comparison to my F150 and solid. The f150 had panel rattles, squeaks, etc... since I got it new. Nothing in my Tacoma.

5' bed does a few sheets of plywood and 8' lumber just fine hanging over the tailgate. On occasion I've put the tailgate down for larger quantities of lumber. Just need to tie down and flag it properly. If you do it a lot, you'll probably want a bigger bed.

Yes. Ranger Raptor is closer to Tundra and F150 width than Tacoma width. And they don’t even offer a longbed. Both are strikes for me. Garage space is tight but I also want to sleep in the bed. Tacoma works better for me than Ranger and still carries the plywood if I need to.
