People have lost their minds. Their lust for something shiny and new is effecting their brain function.

    I'll go get a Colorado ZR2 for $49k before a $47k SR5.

Plus you can find ZR2's at less than MSRP all over. Shit, a base ZR2 is way more truck than a loaded SR5.

Shoot, Trail Boss for $40K with the 430 tq engine, comes with a lift and 32s. Better dash to look at too.

    It’s a Toyota…

… not sure if that is good enough anymore. That is coming from a long time fan boy.

Not knocking anyone on this but with interest rates and prices what they are it is no surprise that a lot are flocking to a lifted work truck(Colorado trailboss) that does not have a lot of items that have been/still are standard on other trucks.

The interior of the Traillboss is definitely WT level, but still a tremendous deal compared to the Taco. With the prices the Tacos are demanding you can get a well-equipped Canyon, maybe even a well equipped AT4, which will have a much better interior.

That one I optioned with cruise. Not sure about LEDs because I don’t need them. Guess my night vision is good enough!

Yeah, bit lame some stuff isn’t standard, but can be optioned for not much. Chevy has a little more too, like available rear non power slider, rear vents, StowFlex space in the tailgate, the 430 tq, and 7700 lbs towing are the biggest plusses.

This is a pretty good amount of options, yes? No 6’ bed is the deal killer for me. That was a bad move on GMs part.

It's making the 2022 OR with 28k miles I test drove look even more attractive. $35k, gold certified from Toyota with the associated extended warranty on top of the remaining factory warranty. Before I saw the $47k SR5 I really was not happy at $35 for a 3rd gen. Heck, I'm still not 'happy' per se, but $12k less to get everything I need seems like a no brainer.

Maybe I'll stop by the dealership again after work...

How's it equipped? Premium or LED or tech?

Just tech package. I'd add heated seats myself if I went this route. Don't really want a sunroof or leather seats. LED would be nice but I can swap bulbs and get 75% of the way there.

See if they will take a few thousand off the price now that the new trucks are arriving soon.

Yup, that would be the plan for sure. A little off the sale price and a little extra on trade in, then we can talk signing the purchase agreement.

I can't believe how much Toyota wants for the new generation. I have a deposit down on a Pro at MSRP and I'm thinking on canceling it and getting the Landcruiser instead. Or I might just supercharge my paid for 21 Tundra Pro double cab that I got at MSRP for 50,900. I can do that for 12 k and still be way ahead of the Tacoma Pro's potential price and have over 550hp and 560 torque. Not to mention a proven engine and supercharger. What would you guys do if you were me?
