I'm no youtuber kid, but I really like the interior and exterior styling of the new Taco. As far as all the new tech is concerned: I really like trying new things, tech or otherwise. I'm looking forward to getting some seat time in the new Tacoma to see if it's for me.

Hopefully us 55 year olds are smart enough not to pay that much for a truck.

After being on the Corado and a few times on the Ranger forums, I personally would suffer the minor cosmetic things I didn't like VS taking a chance on owning a GM or Ford product long term.

I think it's just the color, angle, and lighting.

I’m not sure… they are shiny and new and there is nothing wrong with the ones we own now…

-from a 41 year old- trying to decide myself what I want to do.

I agree. But honestly my 3rd gen was probably the worst vehicle I have ever owned. I think the days of the old quality Toyota are gone. I my mind now they are on par with Ford and GM. My big attraction to the 4th gen was the better powertrain, in my opinion of course. Just want to drive one and see how it is. Think I’m gonna wait another year before buying anything. We get a GM discount, and should be getting Ford supplier through work. Saving a couple grand on a Canyon or Ranger, just may be the better route to go if they don’t have any serious issues

Each to their own. My 3rd gen DCLB has been by far and away the best vehicle I've owned out of the 11 or so I've had, including 6 Jeeps.

I've seen some of the stuff they complain about on those forums, and comparatively, the stuff I see Taco guys complain about is mild.

I am a grumpy middle-aged man, we tend to get stuck in the “good ol’ days” mindset, but looking back the good old days really weren’t all that good.

Do like some of the tech, backup cameras for example are great for hooking up a trailer, even though I have been towing for so long I can do it by feel, but sure is nice to see it. Heated powered mirrors, not sure I could live without those now, Apple CarPlay, love it. Crazy I can ask Siri to play music for me without having to scroll, and to think I grew up with record players and tapes.

Styling-wise…being a grumpy puss, always hate new stuff, hate change really…give it time to marinate I am sure it will grow on me.

We aren’t…might not be a Tacoma, but will just buy something else that costs too much. Prices are a bit ridiculous for a midsize, but I would pay $50K+ for 1/2-1 ton. Though with the falling prices, we might not have to. ;)

I can appreciate that the designers were going for a wide body fiberglass Ironman Ivan Stewart trophy truck look, but it is a little busy with all those lines, then they put stickers on it if that wasn't enough.

Ram has some pretty wild dually flares/bedsides which is funny because late 70's mid 90's they only had flares about as wide as the 4G Pro.

You may think Toyota quality has gone down but Toyota still believes they make quality products. Posted this a few days ago.

If its anywhere close to what my GF's 2024 corolla cross is, you'll turn half of the crap off anyways because its to damn annoying rendering all the techie shit useless.

If Toyota is so good, they wouldn’t need a warranty. ;) :)

The RAV4 we had for a week, it would alert us of school crossings. Apparently people are too distracted to look at road signs anymore.

Do like that it posts what the speed limit is, (lots of speed traps here) sometimes I miss the speed limit sign, nice to glance at the screen and see, speaking of people not reading road signs. Ha!

The rear warning isn’t bad either, can’t tell you how many times I have looked and looked, go to back out and someone pops in right behind me. Especially in grocery store parking lots.

Pros and cons to all of it.
