I agree, the price increase is insane but weren’t Dealers marking up the prices with market adjustment fees to the same levels for the last 3 years.

 

Here's a 39k 2wd SR5 for the Orkin guys who cruise here, but not reddit lol.

 

@It's a TRD Thang Interesting to see the OR premium hybrid comes equipped with 33" tires and the sway bar disconnect, IF it shows up in Canada this year.

Beware the 18" wheel size may mean the OR premium hybrid comes with the larger brakes, so 17" wheels won't clear.

 

Let’s just say I have a “friend” who is over six feet tall, and finds the Gen3 very comfortable, including several inches of clearance over his head. He’s eager to sit in a Gen4, b/c even the chief engineer now sounds like an apologetic crybaby over the seating position, which my friend finds almost baffling, considering the legendary sales success of Gen3, and solid representation of Gen2, using virtually the same basic cab structure.

Not discounting a very vocal group who have issues with how they fit in Gen3 & Gen2, but….Does my “friend’s” positive experience represent the minority, or majority?

 

We haven't even seen the top of the line models yet... No hybrids, no pro's, no trailhunters. It's madness.

hey now! I take offense to that. I drive a Jeep! Both me and my woman have Jeeps actually. She drives an unlimited and I have a 2dr.

but seriously. You are kinda right. Women brought the down fall of the Jeep as it used to be. The females wanted the luxuries and the looks. The men just wanted the abilities. It’s a pretty good compromise other than the weak engines.

 

If the weather is not too bad Saturday I plan to drive 50 miles to a dealer who has three TRDOR’s on the lot. I’m not buying but I do want to put my own eyes and hands on one.

 

$39K for a 2WD mini truck is absurd. Who’s buying that?

 

What are people’s expectations for seating comfort in a midsize truck? Is it supposed to be as comfortable as a lazy boy recliner or as uncomfortable as a Spirit airlines seat?

 

Sure but you can’t drive it because it’s uncomfortable for you to sit so upright

 

Sounds like people want an off-road truck with the comfort and luxury of a Rolls Royce.

Its probably only $53k once you subtract the $7k side steps.

 

SV is equivalent to SR5. Have to add tow hitch/wiring for $505, tech package for $990, and 17" aluminum wheels for $924. That's $38,059 (but you can't order that combination of options - you're forced into a more expensive "convenience" package). SR5 without the deck rail cleats and mats is $38,700. Difference of $641.

 

That 60 is what it costs in Canada

 

People that want a basic 2WD truck aren’t adding any of that.
