I'm shocked it's still made in Japan. I was positive it would be hecho en mexico.

But I still loath the size increase. Nobody asked for that, but the CAFE loophole is still a thing.

Its highly derivative of the Tacoma but its fine. At least the LC stands out some.

I don't feel so bad about selling my 2020 TRD OR premium 4runner after seeing the new 2025. I'll probably buy a 2025.

This is why I don't trust youtube videos for much of anything anymore.

There are 2 jump cuts and no mention of moving seat. I'm sure the seat was moved forward to show more room, but it certainly is not an accurate representation. I'm betting it is very Tacoma or Tundra like back there regardless of their 2 little people or a dog talk.

Yeah just bad editing on their part I think or I guess this was filmed prior to them knowing about which model/embargo date. You figure they probably filmed all them in a matter of 3 or 4 hours.

Built in Japan. It’s in the first paragraph of the press release.

25 is super meh! I get 22 with a 2wd NA V6! But we were not expecting much.

(I also don’t click any of these stupid videos and fund their groveling, marshmallow reporting nonsense. Good catch with the legroom sleight of cam angle, @Lt. Dangle )

Remember that these can tow more, make more power, and they're probably not referring to a 2wd version. So an improvement like that is good.

Power/emissions/simplicity pick two. More power and simplicity means you're either using a larger engine or running hotter creating NOx. Power and emissions means they have to rely on technology which hurts simplicity. Passing emissions and having simplicity means you have a lethargic engine, this is the option the previous generation took.

And not even that is enough anymore. I have a feeling the wheel base increase was done to get an easier emissions goal, maybe it wasn't required for todays regulations, but if it is sold for another 15 years it will be. They had to add secondary air injection part way through the last generation, so its current form should meet standards for years to come.

Yeah total apples to apples there. How much HP and TQ you putting out in your 2WD? 25MPG or even 24 MPG with a crap load more HP and TQ...what did you really expect?
