Solar Octane, it’s just a rental.

VERY bright in person, it looks more burnt in photos vs like a highlighter in person haha. I much prefer supersonic red which just looks fantastic in person.

Found a pro allocation that can be had for msrp ($67k, has some adds) plus their stupid $1000 package, matching my trade offer of $37k, be here in like 2 weeks. They did have it marked up significantly. Should I?...

You will be subject to derision from the anti-Toyota (Toyota fanboys picking on me), nobody should pay over 40K for a Tacoma, Toyota has lost me even though I was never going to get a Pro anyway, turbos are shit... whaddeye miss... something... rage... something going bad in my life, must rage against Toyota. It will be a pile on. Safer to just not get it and throw peanuts from the gallery like everyone here.

I'm on the fence in there, I see the issues, but also don't hate the new gen either. I see some of their points, some is just complaining to complain though. Just can't get past the gimick seats.

None of them were going to get it anyway. I will bet my house on that.

We can swap the seats when my TH arrives.

I've always talked about the tundra issues as I've been "shopping them" since their debut. I do see some of their point. Discounted TRD OR Premium $51-52k, discounted Tundra Limited with OR package, JBL, Moonroof, $59-62k. It was alot worse when there were not Tacoma discounts, $54-55k compared to $59k was a small margin between the two. I just talked to wife who gave me the go ahead for the PRO just dont want a truck payment again, but man it would be cool to own, never had a Pro out of all the years owned.

I had a deposit on a pro at a MSRP only dealer but I backed out. I wanted Terra but after seeing it a few times I only think it looks ok in direct sun. Needed more orange in it. Plus I think even the pro will be available at a discount.

Thats what I’ve been waiting to see. If I’m still a mid size truck buyer I’ll likely get the MY 2026 DCLB Offroad in this color. Or wait and roll the dice that they’ll keep the color into 2028 and catch the probable model refresh updates.

Ya the seats is the other big issue, I stuff my 9 and 6 year old in my 1st gen xtra cab and all I hear is complaints. But with those seats it might not be much better. Hopefully they'll make it an option in 25/26. I'd guess the TH is probably 9/10s what a pro could do in the high speed desert.

This of course begs the question, when are the 2025 Tacomas coming? October?

I would think maybe production starting in late October or November… but what do I know. I think the are already making some 2025 models now… the Camry maybe

My prediction is a color change for the Pro and slight changes to the grouping of options for other models but nothing new.

National has them already. None when I rented last week but had 5 on the Emerald Isle when I returned.

I have my ways lol, I need to know if I want to buy one of these things.

I found a ‘24 F150 Powerboost rental on the enterprise lot a couple of months ago before I had seen a single ‘24 F150 on the road.
