I've seen mostly sports and a few sr5's. Not too many OR's on dealer lots or in transit near me.

    All stock.
I stopped driving new domestic GM products 6 years ago, switching to Toyota and no plans of going back. Although those Rangers look awesome.

Some minor issues showing up on the forums mostly about fit and finishes, I would say there are no major systemic problems with the current trucks on lots. Most complaints here are from non owners about pricing.

I would say shop around to see what you like; avoid tons of add ons, you can find dealers with around 2-3k off MSRP. You can get an awesome OR for around 45k.

I drove state-owned GMC trucks for 22 years. I hope they've improved. They certainly weren't near as reliable as my three Tacomas.

Purchased a 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport about a week ago from a dealer in Glen Burnie, Md. No dealer markup. So far truck has been perfect, no issues. Previous truck was a 2019 Chevy Colorado Z71, dealer gave me a great trade in price.

yep, scariest thing I’ve seen so far is the 2 oil filter failures which I hope are outliers, and there was a guy with a leaking diff similar to the 3rd gen, but so far my truck is been awesome and problem free.

So random post but I just finished a trip from Nashville to Columbus GA to Orlando and then back. Total count of Gen 4 Tacomas spotted was 5 on the road. Total car carriers spotted carrying Toyotas was 1...and only 1 Tacoma on it. This was for the entire trip. Now on the way back from Orlando to Nashville I saw 11 carrying the new corvettes and 10 loaded with new F150s. What does this mean? Absolutely nothing as it is quite possible I was not on the most direct route from the port to dealerships. But I find it odd to see so many carriers with $68+k cars and all those F150s and only 1 toyota carrier. I did not count all the others I saw because I lost count. I really do think the ports are holding back inventory.

So is practically everything else including the tacos. Just can't fathom that more are not hitting the lots with 2 factories going.

Yea, I’m kinda wondering why the dealers in my area aren’t loaded with Tacomas on their lots.

They hit the lots and are gone. I found a dealer five hours away with six. Two days later, I went to kick a tire or two, and they were down to one. They also had five low-mileage 2023s they had taken in as trade-ins.

At least that's the way it is in Idaho and Montana.

Is there not a website that gives monthly totals sold?

Seems like a lot of trucks but I guess we would have to compare to the first year of the 3rd gens to see how many they sold

I have yet to see but one other 4G on the road around here, and that was here in town. Weird as the dealer I bought mine from has been selling quite a few. o_O

They must still be having production issues, there’s a load of white or underground SR5s, but good luck finding other colors or trims to choose from near me.

The Off Roads and Limiteds do because there are so few getting delivered. I feel like Toyota has botched this years launch of the Tacoma. You can view incoming inventory on their website and it is slim pickings for trucks that aren’t SR5s

I think you're correct. I had to settle on an OR Premium allocation that won't be seen until August. Lots of SR5s in Idaho/Montana. I'm guessing it's a supply chain issue for the ORs.
