Yes but your engine warranty drops to 3/36 starting from the day the vehicle was put in service, not when the tune was added.

The warranty is on the tuner, not the powertrain. There’s a 37 page topic over on the Ranger forums about the tuner; of which 17 pages are about the warranty. It’s almost like reading an OCI thread on TW!

I'm not on the Ranger Forums, I just saw an article about the tune and there was a link to ford.com for the part which states "3yr/36k mile Ford Performance warranty from new vehicle in-service". So you're saying if I put the tuner on my ranger with 36,001 miles and the engine fails at 36,002, the engine is covered (to 5/60). But if the tuner fails at 36,002, they won't replace the tuner. That's an odd warranty.

it’s a weird warranty from the Ranger forum:

So called Ford Proformance and asked them to the warranty. What they said to me was interesting so I thought I would share. Ford states the tune comes with a 3year 36K-mile warranty. the 3-year 36K mile warranty doesn't start once you install the tune, it's when you purchased the car. So, if you bought the truck 2 years ago or have 26K miles on it the warranty will only cover you for 1 year or 10K miles.

How’s that Trail Hunter treating you? I have always been curious on how the new Tacomas are like, for the TH and the Pro. Is the new hybrid powertrain any good at all. Issues?

I am test driving an SR extra cab 4WD next week. My dealer said “it’s on the way”. Claims the sticker is “around $37,000”. We will see.

You should contact them and do a return. Some smart ass working in shipping pulled a stupid stunt. You did not get what you ordered.

    The new Floorliner HP’s at

    https://www.weathertech.com/toyota/2024/tacoma/floorliner-hp/tacoma-cab-4/double-cab/tacoma-transmission/automatic
    /

    Look pretty nice.

See, once again, the media blowing something small severely out of proportion.
